Keep Speedway on Track
Speedway is a town full of tradition: racing, strong schools, commitment to public safety, and family values. That shouldn't change! At the same time, we have to look to the future. In the past two decades, Speedway has made huge strides in redevelopments on main street and elsewhere.
The clerk-treasurer is responsible for protecting the town's financial resources so that we can continue to safeguard what makes Speedway great and also look to the future by making investments to secure high quality jobs and smart development. Specifically:
-
Philip is passionate about providing increased transparency regarding the Town's finances so that the Town's residents and leaders can make better-informed decisions.
-
As the payroll and benefits administrator for the Town's 130+ full time employees (and dozens of part-time workers), Philip will keep a laser-focus on ways to attract and maintain top talent.
-
The Clerk-Treasurer's Office manages thousands of interactions with residents and other members of the public. From utility billing to permits, the office will remain committed to respectful service with a watchful eye for ways to increase the efficiency of the systems we have in place.
